Katelyn Johnson

Ms. Johnson is an expert in the corporate health and wellness industry. As the Global Health Strategy Leader at Cisco Systems, Ms. Johnson is responsible for crafting and optimizing Cisco’s health benefits delivery model across the US and in strategic countries where Cisco is elevating employee, dependent, and community health. She develops comprehensive strategies that ensure the health of Cisco’s employees through preventive programs and value based care access to improve employee health and productivity.

Previously, Ms. Johnson was Cisco’s Director of Integrated Health responsible for the design, strategy and performance of Cisco’s onsite health care services and wellbeing initiatives that impact employee engagement, health, and productivity. She designed, developed and led Cisco LifeConnections Centers, which are contemporary on-site, patient-centered, primary care medical homes with leading-edge fitness services and children’s learning centers, exclusively for Cisco employees and their families. To achieve the triple aim and a measurable ROI, LifeConnections utilizes a multi-disciplinary team of providers, and deploys technology to enable quality, coordinated care for a distinctive patient experience.

Ms. Johnson was also instrumental launching a SF Bay Area regional ACO medical plan with Stanford Health Care Alliance using Cisco LifeConnections Health Center as a core primary care hub of the medical plan. Cisco directly contracted with Stanford Health Care, which is the accountable organization responsible for financial and clinical outcomes. To date, the plan has achieved remarkable health care cost savings.

Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in corporate health from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s College. She has certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and National Academy of Sports Medicine. As a wellness expert working with hundreds of clients and a competitive distance runner, she passionately believes that exercise is medicine. She is also an enthusiastic dog owner, and rescues high-risk dogs spending her free time walking, running, and training her German Shepherd and Husky with her husband.
