2021 Patient Assessment Survey (PAS)

The Patient Assessment Survey (PAS) program has been gathering patient feedback and producing Provider Organization ratings for 19 years. It is the largest nonprofit, multi-stakeholder program in the country. Every year, feedback is gathered from more than 40,000 patients across 176 provider organizations in California. Performance rankings for groups that service commercially insured HMO and Medi-Cal patients are created, and results are publicly reported through the State of California’s Office of the Patient Advocate consumer website. Performance on the PAS Group-Level Survey are used for financial incentives through the Integrated Healthcare Association’s (IHA) Value-Based Align. Measure. Perform. (AMP).
