Well-Being Forum Series: From Sick Care to Health Optimization

Join PBGH for our first Well-Being Forum Series on Friday, April 6 at 12 p.m. PT with author, entrepreneur and health care expert, Jeff Margolis, who will share how purchasers can influence the health care system to shift from sick care to health optimization. His book, Not Just in Sickness But Also in Health: Moving Beyond Sickcare to Health Optimization for All, details how we can better define health care value and create the next generation of benefit plans.  This includes implementing intelligent ecosystems of personalized resources to support individuals in their daily lives in their quest to achieve and sustain optimal health.

Jeff Margolis is a health care and IT entrepreneur, executive and systems design innovator. He is the former CEO and chairman of Welltok, the leading health care consumer activation company. Previously, Jeff was the founder, chairman and CEO of TriZetto, the first industry vertical SaaS enterprise solution supporting over 130 million insured lives. He originated the systematic concepts of Integrated Health Care Management and Health Optimization, notably codifying both into commercial data and software companies. Jeff currently serves on the board of directors for NextGen Healthcare (NASDAQ:NXGN), Alignment Healthcare (NASDAQ: ALHC), TriNetX, Hydrogen Health and Grin. He also serves on several not-for-profit boards including Hoag Hospital, Hoag Clinic (Chair) and the Center for Digital Transformation (Chair) at the University of California, Irvine. He is also a Senior Advisor to Blackstone. Jeff is the author of Not Just in Sickness But Also in Health and The Healthcare Cure, and is a frequent industry speaker. Jeff is an alumnus of the University of Illinois, holds a CPA certificate (inactive) and an AICPA Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, and is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow.
