Behavioral Health Integration Fundamentals: Concepts & Models

May 22nd, 2023

Join the California Quality Collaborative (CQC) on Tuesday, June 13 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. PT for a Resilient Primary Care webinar, Behavioral Health Integration Fundamentals: Concepts and Models.

Integrating behavioral health into primary care is essential for providers looking to deliver patient-centered, high-quality and whole-person care. Yet many health care organizations struggle with knowing where to begin.

Primary care practices and provider organizations at the beginning of their integration journey should join to review the core concepts around behavioral health integration, how to select an integration model and useful tools and resources to support integration. We’ll hear from experts at the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, a member association whose goal is to make integrated care the standard of care across the United States and beyond, as well as updates from CQC’s CalHIVE Behavioral Health Integration improvement collaborative, including how participating organizations will get ready to launch their integration pilots.

CQC Webinar – Advanced Primary Care: Piloting Practice Level Measurement

February 28th, 2022

On Wednesday, March 30, the Purchaser Business Group on Health’s California Quality Collaborative (CQC) hosted a webinar describing the next step in California’s journey to scale high-quality, efficient and patient-centered primary care, also known as Advanced Primary Care (APC).

The recent pandemic strain on the health system has highlighted the need for deeper transparency. This enables plans, providers and purchasers to make better informed decisions and to focus resource allocation to support providers where needed and drive better population health overall.

With this in mind, CQC and the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) have initiated a new APC Measurement pilot, funded initially by the California Health Care Foundation. Four purchasers, including CalPERS, Covered California and eBay, are partnering to test practice level assessment of a common APC measure set.
