Chris Jaeger, MD, MBA joins PBGH as VP, Care Redesign and Chief Innovation Officer

Chris Jaeger, MD, MBA has joined PBGH as VP, Care Redesign and Chief Clinical Innovation Officer. Dr. Jaeger will lead PBGH’s care redesign and clinical innovation work including the California Quality Collaborative (CQC), which works side-by-side with clinicians to redesign how care is delivered, support providers to reduce care variation, and align payment with high-quality care.

Dr. Jaeger brings a wealth of clinical, care redesign, and data informatics expertise to the role and to PBGH. Chris previously served as Vice President, Accountable Care Innovation and Clinical Transformation at Blue Shield of California; Chief Medical Information Officer at Sutter Health (where he implemented large clinical innovation initiatives across the health system); and hospitalist and attending physician at California Pacific Medical Center. In these roles, Chris managed and mentored teams and partnered successfully with internal and external stakeholders to lead data-driven improvement and innovation.

Chris holds a MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a MBA with a certificate in healthcare management from UC-Berkeley.
