SENIOR MANAGER
Amanda Goltz joined the Pacific Business Group on Health as Senior Manager of New Initiatives in August 2010. Her work includes several initiatives that focus on delivery system reform and payment redesign. These projects include a state-wide joint replacement registry, developed to provide standards and tools for evidence-based care for orthopedics; development and spread of consumer engagement tools that encourage patient involvement in selecting high-quality, cost-effective care; and transparency initiatives for health plans, providers, and employers.
Amanda has more than 10 years' experience in organizing and leading improvement programs and participating in clinical and administrative teams working to improve processes, drive quality and safety performance, and manage cost and value. Amanda comes to PBGH from Manatt Health Solutions, where she supported the work of the California Health and Human Services Agency in building the infrastructure for statewide health information exchange in California. At Partners Healthcare in Boston, she directed the system-wide quality improvement program, with responsibility for performance in publicly reported and internally developed measures of quality across the integrated delivery network. While at Partners, Amanda led the design and launch of their first public quality and safety website to engage the whole community around quality, safety, and efficiency measurement, and provide a resource for patients and consumers to partner with providers to enable high performance care delivery.
Amanda began her career in clinical informatics at New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, working on health information technology adoption projects across the city’s public emergency departments. She received her BA with honors from Columbia University and her MPA from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
