Kate Eresian Chenok is a Director at Pacific Business Group on Health, where she leads a portfolio of projects that focus on delivery system reform and payment redesign.
These include an intensive ambulatory care pilot, focused on using innovative reimbursement models to care for medically complex patients and the creation of a registry to drive quality improvement in maternity care. Kate also led the formation of and currently directs a voluntary, level-three, multi-institution orthopedic registry, the California Joint Replacement Registry (www.caljrr.org). Chenok has over 20 years of leadership experience with healthcare organizations on accountable care, delivery system and incentive design, new business, product development, planning and marketing issues. Kate held a number of senior leadership positions at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KP) and The Permanente Federation in Oakland, CA. She also led the startup and served as Executive Director for the Council of Accountable Physician Practices, a non-profit research consortium and advocacy group for multispecialty physician groups. In her east coast days, Kate served as the Vice President for Marketing and Business Development for Massachusetts General Hospital. Kate has been a management consultant with her own firm, Chenok Associates; with Booz, Allen and Hamilton in New York and with Lewin and Associates in Washington, D.C. Kate received her AB cum laude from Harvard College and her MBA from the Yale School of Management. Kate has served as an advisor to the Yale School of Management - The Goldman Sachs Foundation Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures.
