POLICY ANALYST, CONSUMER-PURCHASER DISCLOSURE PROJECT

Dena Mendelsohn is Policy Analyst for the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project. The Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project is a group of leading employer, consumer, and labor organizations dedicated to improving health care quality and affordability by advancing public reporting of provider performance information so it can be used for improvement, consumer choice, and as part of payment reform.

Previously, Ms. Mendelsohn was a Budget and Planning Analyst in the Missouri Office of Budget and Planning, which advises the Governor’s Office on budget and policy issues. She managed the state-wide budgets for the Judiciary department, the Department of Corrections, and the Office of the Public Defender. In that capacity, Ms. Mendelsohn also provided analytical expertise on policy issues, including legislative tracking and bill reviews for veto or signature decisions. Before earning her Master of Public Health degree, Ms. Mendelsohn practiced law as an attorney.

Ms. Mendelsohn earned her BA from Emory University, JD from Washington University in St. Louis and MPH (specializing in health policy) from Saint Louis University.
